Firewheel has two excellent eighteen hole courses, The Old Course and The Lakes Course. Both are challenging layouts that incorporate a variety of hazards into their designs.
The Old Course, established in 1983, is a traditional layout that was rated #1 by the “Dallas Morning News.” Water hazards come into play on many of the holes. The most difficult hole is number 18, a 400-yard, par 4 that requires a tee shot and an approach shot over a creek that winds through the hole. The greens are surrounded by strategically placed trees that make this a tough test for all levels of golfers.
Its fairways are carved through areas that are heavily forested with pecan trees. The course is a popular destination for family outings and corporate events, as well as the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenic view while dining at the Texas-themed Branding Iron Restaurant.
This 7,134-yard, par 71 course has plenty of big-face bunkers and carries over ten lakes to make it a challenging test for players of all skill levels. The fairways are lined with oak and pecan trees and Spring Creek and Rowlett Creek meander throughout the course.
Another interesting and challenging design at Firewheel is the Lakes Course, which has a slope rating of 139 from the gold tees. The course has ten lakes and many bunkers, making it one of the tougher tests on the property.
Located on 600 scenic acres, the three courses at Firewheel Golf Park offer a wonderful golfing experience for golfers of all levels of ability. Whether you are a novice or avid player, you’ll love the challenge of playing a round at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland Tx.
The Bridges Course, established in 2001, is the crown jewel of the 63-hole facility. It has three unique nines, each boasting bent grass greens that are immaculately maintained. Learn more information about Rowlett Creek Dallas County Nature Preserve.
